This kit is currently out of stock and out of production, but may be available again in future.

About the kit

This kit is comprised of a 3D printed plastic body shell and a fret of etched nickel silver detail parts. Minimal folding of these parts is required and they can all be glued in place.

The body is designed to fit the Meridian Models MPD18 mk2 drive unit, and is supplied with a suitable mounting plate. The mk2 MPD18 is an easy to assemble kit and used in other Meridian loco kits.

Prototype Info

This design of loco was built by Baguley-Drewry in the early 1980s for service on the extensive 2' 6" and metre gauge lines at RNAD munitions depots around the UK. As well as the 60hp design represented here, there was a larger 99hp version which we also produce as a kit.

Following rationalisation of RNAD installations, disposal sales have resulted in many of these locos appearing on preserved lines around the country. Notable current locations of the 60hp design are Amberley Museum, the Bredgar & Wormshill Railway, the Bala Lake Railway, Almond Valley Light Railway and the Golden Valley Light Railway.

Postage is included for UK orders. For international orders shipping is at cost. Please note any local import duty or taxes that may be applied on delivery are the buyer's responsibility.
